Glenbervie Bistro
Refined yet relaxed, the Glenbervie is the place to enjoy excellent cocktails and tasty bistro style food. The name itself comes from one of West Cornwall’s most famous shipwrecks. Far from being a cause for lament, the sinking of the Glenbervie in 1902 was the toast of the Lizard. Why? Well, aside from the fact that all 16 crew were saved, hundreds of barrels of rum, brandy and whisky were also “rescued” by locals at low tide. They were decidedly “cheerful” for weeks on end, so the story goes.
Today, we continue this tradition of good cheer with cracking cocktails and a fantastic menu of bistro favourites. Whether you fancy a perfectly-mixed nightcap, or gourmet fish and chips, the Glenbervie is the place. Or you could really push the boat out with locally reared “Mullion” steak or the hotel’s signature seafood platter (24 hours’ notice required).

Dining in the Glenbervie Bistro
With our lunch menu available from 12:30pm to 6pm and dinner menu available from 6pm through till 9pm, the Glenbervie Bar is the ideal place for a relaxed meal or perhaps a glass or two of what you fancy. The evening menu in the bar is the same as the Atlantic View Restaurant but with a less formal atmosphere. Our menu always has daily changing dishes along with some seasonal classics. This means that there is always something different to try. Do note that all our dishes are cooked fresh to order and good food takes time; the only frozen food we serve is the ice cream!
